Lower level account women. Every time.
Least sharp has got to be copywriters.
you must not have any software engineers at your agency. 🙄
For me it’s less about being “professionally dressed” which I interpret as a level below suits for advertising, and more about who is put together. You could be wearing a $7 T-shirt but if it’s well fitted, not wrinkled, and clean I’m going to have a higher perception of you. It just shows you care.
This is true. And like it or not, you will be judged on what you wear.
It's true CW's are the worst at this. AD's have strong baseball cap game. And remember you're not "creative" unless you're tatted up LOL
Oh I feel this! I'm one of the few in my company that don't have tattoos and I feel out of place sometimes. I even heard them mention bringing someone in a meeting (a senior art director) because he "looks creative" (his first week on the job and didn't know the client) and it's bc he has a sleeve and closely cropped hair. Like come on! (He's great at his job but seriously!!!)
Generally the sleazy and slimy people dress the “sharpest.” And wear the most cologne/perfume.
Gonna be honest - the less “dressed up” you are, the better I assume you to be. For some reason, it feels like those who focus on the work, don’t focus on clothes. Though I know it’s a generalization and probably less apt for ADs.
Professionally dressed when you’re in-house or presenting there. Pajama pants every other day 🤣
My outfit every pay day 💰
