Sorry! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That will get peoples attention lol

lol I like the enthusiasm

Very valid point. Thanks so much!

I would go with Medium if I had to choose between those two. The potential is more reliable.

This is exactly my sentiment. When it comes to consistency, Medium is a bit more predictable and reliable but I do take a bit of an issue with their pay structure.

Substack as the place to host your content, but you’ve gotta have a distribution strategy.

Make a plan for how you’ll reach people on social, through guest posts on media sites, or even using Medium to distribute your content.

I’d link to my Substack within the Medium articles. Link to the sign up page, link to old newsletters, etc.

Hi Guys
I have 6.5+ YoE in production support working for Barclays Bank IB portfolio. Can I get any referrals for BNY. Skill set Autosys, Unix scripting, SQL, Jira, Agile methodology, ITRS, Nolio, User & Application support, adept at incident, change and problem management areas.

I think I’m being underpaid, according to pay scale and some suspicion I’ve had over the last year. I’m almost at 1 year with my company and I’ve been thrown around to different products, and my new product is more technical, more chaotic, and more intertwined with other teams compared to what I was on. My only issue is that I don’t have goals or KPIs to compare when asking for a raise. Is it justified to ask for a raise when you’re in a more technical product line etc? I can lay out differences

Best do’s and don’t’s when reaching out to a recruiter for the first time?

Finastra (offer of 21lpa) or Capgemini (offer of 17.5) for a BA role (yoe 8) for job security and wlb? And can anyone please suggest if the salary offer from finastra is good, or they could've offered more?

Last week I resigned from tcs and ready to serve 90 days notice period. However, today HR called me and was telling as per business requirement they can release me in 7 days and it's per company policy. Please confirm if he was right.

What are the cons to bringing an outside offer to my boss and asking for more money? Apparently my team is stretched thin and having issues backfilling so it seems like a good time to ask but I’ve never done this before.

By when are the ratings decided and when are they communicated?

Received a verbal offer 5 weeks ago from a large bank but they have been unable to provide more since then. Is that normal? How do I get them to move quicker?

Sorry if this has been asked before but how much of a cushion do you guys keep in your checking account (relative to your net monthly income) every month?

I net 6,250 and keep $1k but thinking about lowering it to $500 so I can throw the other $500 in my savings. I find myself never dipping into that $1k so I feel like it’s too much.

I flew all the way from Seattle to Boston to visit my SO, I felt his “indifference” during this trip and we had a long discussion last night and today I decided to fly back, ending the trip early by 1 week. We were supposed to break up but the moment before I left, SO doesn’t want to end this and still want to keep in contact, giving me a break from this. Is it possible that we can be friends given this situation?

I am having 6.8 yrs of experience and working as an SDET

Is it normal to have 15+ assignments everyday? Granted, im a little behind but thats because there are always so many assignments to do.

What are three words you've always wanted to put in your copy but, for whatever reason, can't? Mine: callipygian, hent and flatus.

I just want to put something positive out today. I had a freelance gig come my way and I threw (what I thought) was an insane $ at them and they said yes 😭. Bless up. Haha I’m so pumped

Any advice for a copywriter who might be going to a digital agency? What can I do to be successful?

I want to talk about copy wins. Who’s got ‘em these days? If you sold a cool campaign, wrote your personal best line ever, or got a nice note about your book, go ahead and brag about it here. 👇

I was briefed to carry out a shoot but copy was not part of the assignment. The shoot turned out great—do I include it in my book, or no because there’s no copy?

I’m seeking new jobs but my last 3 years of work have been with a niche entertainment advertising agency. What’s a good way to combat the industry “attitude” of not coming from a big name?

A CW posted a while back asking if there were sites to find freelance or pro bono work on the side to help build some good, creative work for their book. I can’t find it. What were those sites?? Thx

When it comes to vetting FT candidates, do Sr CWs also go through a lot of the books. I've focused on reaching out to CDs when I apply or hear about openings, but wondering if I've been casting too small of a net.

Can any freelance copywriters share what their hourly rate is?

I transitioned from full-time agency copywriter to part-time freelance copywriter (and full-time mom) 4 years ago. I have 13 years of experience. I've never raised my rate and it's time, but I'm out of touch with what is typical. I would be so grateful for your input!

Been one of the only writers at my digital shop for two years. Busted my ass since I started and was finally notified of my first raise today...a measly 0.02%.

I realize raises are tough to come by right now, but am I justified in feeling insulted? We have some big clients on our current roster for a relatively small agency, and the best they could do wasn't even a full percentage? Is it even worth it to counteroffer?
Been eyeing other jobs for a minute, but this was probably the final straw.

What do you do when you have an AD partner that isn’t conceptual? Normal? Wonderful designer, but when it comes to the big ideas it constantly falls onto me...(1/2)

Love too write copy before the strategy has been written.

I'd like to practice writing tv as much as I can, even outside of work. I'm not motivated enough to write scripts on my own. I'd like to volunteer writing tv ads for a non-profit or something similar. Does anybody know of a site for something like this?

Looking to expand my portfolio - would personal writing/poetry be appropriate? Not ads, white papers etc. I have those, but they’re all for B2B and I want to show off a different skill set. Thoughts?

Hi! I’m looking for examples of copywriting portfolio websites. I don’t quite know where to start showing my work and need inspiration. Please share yours below!
Thanks much ☺️

What the best way/place to share your copywriting portfolio? Thanks. Jack

Anyone ever find themselves unintentionally stuck writing in the same voice for different brands? Not sure if it’s a mental block or lack of inspiration, but I just started working on a new account and can’t seem to find the reset button.

Any tips, advice, stuff to read/watch, or shared experience would be much appreciated.

Thx everyone.
