Controller because you have actual responsibilities. If you're 27 years old and "managing" anything, it can't be too important.

For several years I’ve been in charge of pretty much in charge of everything in my life

like

Manager was stupid easy for me. Senior was worse. Controller can be depending on the entity. Could be 100x easier or harder

Definitely the controller position. Having to manage the reporting and compliance requirements for a public entity of any size can be stressful and challenging.

I work at a growing consulting firm in the Data Privacy space (but have mainly done IT Audit and Cybersecurity work to date). I think I would eventually want to do Privacy work in industry but want to build more experience and knowledge in the space first. I also really like the WLB I have at my current job (around 45 hr work weeks). I occasionally get reached out to by Big 4 recruiters. Am I missing out by not engaging with these recruiters? I feel like I would lose my WLB if I pursue Big 4.

I have 2 offers: 1. PwC US for the Manager position. 2. Infosys for the Senior consultant position. Both offered same base salary (around 150,000 USD) PwC has huge signing bonus. Have to join Infosys as H1 transfer is already done and I already resigned from TCS by the time PwC offer was finalized. Once PwC H1 transfer is done then should I leave Infosys within 2-3 months after joining or should I continue with Infosys and decline PwC offer?

Consultants advise executives/leads on An analytics roadmap, and AAG come in and implement, rather than go with a Big 4 / Indian IT shop?) Thanks guys. Bain & Company

Just curious if you think about the effects of your decisions or whether you realize that this is simply not an analysis one can do given the needs of the project, for example. Also don’t mean to victimize juniors. Just too many uniform experiences suggesting juniors are seen as a backstop to all inefficiencies that roll down hill).

In bit of an odd situation. Got an offer from MBB that I accepted and start this week. However, just heard back from a PE firm that I initially got rejected from that they need another associate and want me to start next summer. I really want to join the PE firm as that’s been an goal but that means I only stay at the firm for 6 months. Will that be perceived negatively, don’t want to ruin relations at the company?
