Would like to hear opinions on this scenario: County-owned Nursing Home & Rehab center (240 skilled, 40 rehab beds) being sold to a new buyer. The home has a contract w/ a food service company that would need renewed by the potential buyer if they choose. The employee in this scenario is a Clinical Nutrition Manager who works for this food service company. Their department is Clinical Nutrition, consisting of 2 employees including the Manager. Job security, maintaining similar pay up in the air.

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor. I have been working as an automation analyst from beginning. But now I want to do a shift in my skills and technologies. What should I learn to make the transition? My current skills are selenium with java, api testing.

I’m an associate at a personal injury firm in FL where I’ve been able to learn tons about litigation and get to help people every day….but I also want to get into entertainment law (it’s a dream that I can’t let die yet).
It’s the beginning of my career, any input on how to pursue both areas of law?

Interviewed for S&O role and wanted to share. Recruiter told me to expect problem solving and stakeholder comm, behavioral and case type questions… It ended up being one 25-min interviewee-led case. I was surprised given all that I had read online about RRK and GCA and Googleyness and the pride Google has in its “unbiased”interview process… it felt like any other MBB interview where your case interviewer decides your fate… guess S&O is just like any consulting firm…
