Hello wonderful ladies! I'm looking to expand my network of female sales professionals and would love to connect with you! https://www.linkedin.com/in/moncerrattmejia
I am looking for a change after 6 years with the same company. I am actively looking for a new role but haven't been successful getting follow-ups from recruiters. Would really appreciate any guidance, tips or feedback. Also willing to share my resume and CV to see if there's something that I am missing. Hope you all have a wonderful day! 😊

A. 50 Hours a week cuts into family time. $150k lifestyle is more than comfortable where I’m from.
Role A. Time > $. Make up the “rest” with a side hustle and extra time working on something that u r a owner of
Right now I would choose the second one
I was going to do the math but then realized this is all based on OTE… I prefer to calculate base to base, then factor in OTE. Guaranteed money when comparing hours makes a huge difference, IMHO.
From a tax perspective, it’s ~3400 difference each month in pay.
So it all depends on your lifestyle. I didn’t see family or marriage in this equation.
Also, you didn’t add wanting work-life culture, benefits, or company sustainability, so it seems like if the pay is 100% your focus, then option B would be the way to go.
I would rather make more money and work more hours. I am more productive with more to do and more incentive.

Role B. 30-35 hours feels very similar to 40-50
I don’t agree. 30 hours in a year is 1,560 hours 50 hours in a year is 2,600 hours. Think about what u can you do with the extra 1,000 hours 💡
Is the 40-50 hours/week ACTUALLY 40-50 hours, or is it more like 30-40 or 60-80? I’d reach out to a rep at the company to confirm how much they actually work.
You could be picking a lower paid option for equal work at the end of it.
Or
You could be picking a higher paid position and realize it’s way more work than you thought.
Are they in the same industry? Are they warm leads or cold? Are either a growth company or startup with possible equity?
Good point! My job is 40 hrs but I’m so efficient that it really is 20-25 hrs per week
Depends how many days the 30-35 hours a week is. If it is a shorter work week yes to option A. If I still have to work 5 days a week, no to option A.
Role A! Also there wasn’t a mention of capped earnings.
Pro
The economy is a hot mess. Take the second one until your burned out.

You’re *
I’ll do second because I’m working 40-45 now for less as it is

I’m in for role ‘B’. I’ve experienced working more can definitely help me earn more in sales whenyou have a company that rewards people for bringing in the revenue.
Can you get work life balance with option B? Is it micromanaged? What’s the base? Equity? I would initially pick option B but only if I had flexibility during those 40+ hours.
I would choose Role B as I love what I do and WANT to work more hours
Role B
I would definitely work more and make more
B all day long if I can keep it to 40ish
