Help me menu plan! Having another couple over on Friday for a little birthday celebration, so four people total. Asking for honest opinions: many or most of us here have great jobs, a lot of perks, excellent salaries etc. Yet I see so many people complaining that they’re having to work more, or they’re not getting a bonus, or that they miss their perks etc.
I’m aware of special situations (e.g.. parents with small children) but come on - I was laid off in 2017 and it was one of the worst things that happened to me. Show some appreciation that you got to keep your excellent job so far.

I was born and raised in Asia. The problem I see in Asian community is that there is an internalized racism against each other. Asia born Asians always have this complex feelings towards Asian Americans that were born and raised here. And many Asian Americans that I met somehow have unspoken pride over other Asians. Often times I feel like I am not represented because when corporate/newspaper refer to Asian hates they usually just mention Asian Americans. What’s your experience and thought?
