Btw OW, Kearney, S& and EY-P (partly because idk the others, partly because there's not a consensus about which of the other firms are actually T2):
EY-P, followed closely by S&P. Kearney would be in the middle, but since Oliver has so much work with FS, and also DD in general, the WLB tends to decrease. If we exclude FS, Oliver would be better than Kearney, but that's kinda unfair.
That being said, Pay is the exact opposite; and I'd say culture as well (although S& is probably better than the ATK/Kearney on this topic).
I've found a good negative correlation btw revenue per employee and WLB, although I'd say BCG has a worse WLB than us
Interesting. Most people I know at the firm have said culture was a strong positive for them.
From best to worst:
EYP (PMO) >K>S&=OW>LEK

Feel like the takeaway here is it’s totally dependent on the project type not the firm. You can work 45-50 hours at BCG on the right long term case.

EYP if you get on a long term PMO project
What do you do on a LT PMO project?

Jk that’s T1 😎
Would be more dependent on project type. You can have good WLB at any firm if you index more on longer term projects.
Have heard S& has decent WLB unless you’re in the Deals Strategy group. Have heard nightmares about LEK
My bschool friends that went to Kearney probably had the worst WLB. They also were able to draw a proper comparison as many re-recruited after internships and went to MBB fulltime. FWIW, my WLB improved dramatically when I went from a T2 to BCG.
Not Kearney
