Which tax program does everyone use? .. is it complicated when you work in many states or should I just pay someone to do it 🤔

Always used TurboTax but used Credit Karma this year. Loved it.

I believe ACN only pays for EY if you worked in 3 or more states in the year

like

Lol lodging taxes is so 70s bruh

Credit karma is free too! I thought turbo was more user friendly tho

HR Block Deluxe. Out of state returns are easy.

EY does the for us, on the firm.

Guys without international firm covers H&R Block

My program is sending all my info to my accountant dad :) he just uses turbo tax

I worked in more than 3 states and ACN asked to do mine, but I politely declined. I would rather not have the company involved or aware of my numerous side hustles.

Long story short - Illinois IRS made me submit W2s for tax correction due to working out of state. Illinois IRS told me not to pay the amount remaining until my W2s were reviewed and I received a letter of the decision. Told multiple times not to pay and that my account was on hold. NOW they assessed a penalty and was told the call center can’t fix this after. I called in July to get this done before deadlines. What can I do. I was specifically told not to pay and that the penalty won’t b there

Hello everyone! What certifications do you think would be useful to a person who is a newcomer in the fraud and forensic industry. I want to boost my skill set and profile. Currently working as a due diligence, risk and compliance researcher at Kroll. I feel the research role is quite redundant without growth opportunities. Want to move into financial crime compliance. Will the CFE or CAMS be a good investment towards achieving this goal? My background is in law. Please advise.

My husband has a tendency of always shutting me down in discussions. I don’t know why, but his ingoing position is that I must be clueless regarding whatever topic we are discussing. It’s very annoying because 1) I find it disrespectful 2) I am smart enough to have the same job as him and 3) it means we can never talk about anything- he always turns it into an argumentative way of disproving whatever I say

Any advice on telling your boss you’re leaving your team? For context, I’m the 4th one leaving within a month (boring product, not toxic or anything), and the manager id be telling is my skip level, as my old manager left the team and I’m actually moving to his new team. Trying not to throw shade on my old (new? lol) manager bc I know that he spent all of his career in this department before moving. Is there any way to soften the blow, other than just giving a 2-3 week notice?

Wanted to know how different is management consulting in the US via-a-vis India?

Background : working as front end consultant in India. Daily routine is opening laptop at 9AM and doing work till 10ish PM, if the project is tight (which it is in majority cases) closing laptop by 1 or 2 am. Travel depends on project. Sr Managers have no sense of personal space in most companies. Money is goood.

How are things in US as I wish to join consulting in US for a few years for int’l exposure
