While doing research on a company that I am currently interviewing with, I came across current employees reviews. The whole company is wfh and one of the common themes I kept seeing was that, employees had to be on camera throughout their whole workday.I have worked remotely before and no company has required that of its employees. It makes me feel like the company hasn't created a trusting environment with its employees if that's how they're monitoring employees. Thoughts on this??

I’m curious. Where do you go to read the most reliable employee reviews? Glassdoor?

It could be both.? I come from a wfh environment and being on camera does assist in engagement and easier to read body language. This helps me gauge my audience if there is something truly wrong, but they are saying it’s ok.

Yikes!!!! I worked from home before it was cool to WFH. I never had to be on a camera. And my bosses trusted me. I signed a contract that I proposed to be able to WFH. I presented it to the Medical and Surgical Director of the Department I was working in. I worked 5 1/2 hours away from my workplace. I had to have great communication with our team for it to work. I stated I would resign if it didn’t work out. I WFH 5 years. For a major Transplant Facility. As a Data Manager. Trust is Key!

The way firms throw wads of cash at attempts to impress associates then nickel and dime us on the small stuff makes no sense. Millions being spent on our upcoming retreat (which I'd rather not attend in the first place, but the constant messaging of "how much we're investing in this" and other pressures made me cave), but I have to pony up the difference between an aisle seat and a window seat to get there.

How about moving it to a Ramada and letting us all fly first class?

Can I get a job with a Dependent pass in Singapore? I have 5 years of experience in dentistry.

Very close to receiving a job offer for a fast growin start-up company related to dental. It is located in SF which unfortunately is not Americas most expensive city to live in (I’d have to move there). Started pricing apartments and will need an offer of about $135k to qualify for housing but anything I find for a salary reference says the company plays about 95k in SF - how do I justify my experience and drive to the company to show my value or is that too big of a wage gap to bridge? TY!!

Hi I work in patient finance and I am desperately bored with my job. I have a bachelors which isn’t a requirement for my role. I have been applying non stop to jobs that do require a bachelors and I am qualified for. Either I don’t get called for an interview or when I do I’m not selected. I have followed up with some of the interviewers and they all told me I interview well. I am so tired of disappointment that I feel like giving up and just settling. I don’t know what to do.
