Hello and Happy Friday! I’m looking to add a Contract Recruiter to my team of 7 for a $2B manufacturing company. Ideally, I’d love to find someone who has 3+ years of experience recruiting for Engineers and IT roles but I’m also open to all experience. This position has the opportunity to go permanent in the future or has flexibility to remain as a contract role. Fully REMOTE job. Typical req load between 16-20 salaried roles. $35/hr. Please message me if you are interested!
(1/2) I started a new job less than a month ago at a large firm with a significant pay increase. I work remotely- which is a special arrangement. They paid for my travel to their headquarters for in-person training. After interacting with my manager and some of the attorneys, I feel like I made a mistake. Manager is demeaning and rude. A bunch of the attorneys dropped not so subtle hints that people who work from home are causing all kinds of problems. I don’t know what to do.
Covid WFH... exactly this feeling
The year is 2023 and the ad agency you started has made the list of top creative agencies. Your company allows for remote work but the agency also has a physical location as the main office. What city would you have your office located in and why?
Why isn't remote learning in school not an option in the middle of delta virus surge? Is there a political angle to it?
COVID WFH: Maama or Maami Thaligai?
Deloitte 🐠, just signed offer letter. How long befor a background check process starts and how long does it take to complete. Timing is critical for me. Also how are they handling on boarding. Laptops, cellphones and trainings. I know DU is closed, but is training remote or can one go into the home office
Recommendations for a wfh office chair? Preferably on the lower end of the range with good height.
What’s the return to office/WFH plan at WSGR? Are they requiring a number of days in the office when they reopen?
Does anyone know if 72 is going remote?
I have work to do but I’m tired so gonna take a short nap. I’ll finish later and work late if I need to. I won’t miss a deadline, and my team won’t suffer. Good night! This has been an ad for keeping WFH/hybrid going instead of forcing people in 5 days a week.
Have an offer on the table at a startup that’s $35K more than current big 4 salary for a Senior Manager role. Benefits package is very comparable (401k match, healthcare costs, fringe stipends for WFH). Startup has been around for 5+ years and has secured a solid, 9 figures of investor dollars. Is it worth the move and having to leave my extremely secure “network” and role at a Big 4?
Has anyone joined a team that is all full time remote, with people in different countries and time zones? How has the onboarding process been? Have you been able to form a connection with your team? Considering some opportunities but very skeptical of how this would all go down and if it would be super lonely and depressing. There may not be a chance to actually meet people and have that bond with your co-workers that makes work bearable
Due to WFH, Thinkin’ of moving outta the northeast down south. Would love to get ppl’s opinions of these smaller scale cities (I already know enough bout ATL/CLT, etc.): - Columbia, SC - Chattanooga, TN - Savannah, GA - Asheville, NC
Mayer brown houston fully remote still?
Any thoughts on praying in the office? I’m in the London office and because of some confident bothers, we were able to use conference rooms to pray. Now in my new firm, I’m the only Muslim and so when I do go in, find it hard to find a place. I don’t want to announce it and make a big deal, just want to pray quietly, otherwise I’d have to save my salah for home. WFH has changed this in such a good way but wanted to see if anyone has similar experience or tips?
Anyone made the jump from agency to freelance PM and can live to tell about it? I want the highs and the lows. I’ve been seriously considering it more and more, but need to know the truth about what to expect. More than anything, I want to be remote and be able to make my own schedule. Any pointers on how to get started? I’d love to do a budget exercise as well, to see how to make it all work—but I know it’s very unpredictable. Any tips/tricks are appreciated!
How long after starting a new job would you give it before deciding if it’s a good fit? I’m a couple months into a new gig and I’m not sure if it’s the fit for me, although I think part of that is that WFH is really getting to me and makes getting integrated difficult.
I have Amex points on corp card and need to buy a long haul flight. It looks like it’s best to use them by booking travel through Amex but I’m confused about the bit that says I’ll get a statement credit when I pay with points. Does that mean I’ll then have to spend more on the card to get rid of the credit?
There is no trick to sell, either you can sell or not. The only trick is use your ears and identify key pieces and use them wisely in the conversation. Selling is a conversation properly led to a Goal.
Has anyone asked their Obgyn about the frequency of travel in your first trimester? Seems possible to exceed radiation limits w a lot of low altitude domestic flights (cont...)

Proven best resources for passing the PMP? Taking Deloitte's boot camp, but going to need a LOT more work (and memorization).
Wish we didn’t have green card backlog issues. Really demotivated. Wonder what we’re slogging towards. Getting out of bed itself every morning is a battle.
Did you ever accept an offer and before joining that company you ended up getting a better offer? If the role and title are pretty much same, what would you do if the new offer is 50K more per annum?
Hi All! Does any have insight to the company culture at AMEX? Is it somewhat friendly? Inclusive? Are they 9 to 5 or do they burn the midnight oil? Any and all insights are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Are there “on-cycle” recruiting pipelines for recruiting from post-MBA roles? Or is it all ad-hoc recruiting?
Is it possible to use the Amex gift cards (Cathy cash, applause awards) to trade in a brokerage account? I'm guessing the answer is no. Curious if anyone has made it work.
Financial Planning Question: I’m planning on buying a house in the next 5 years. My current investment savings is 2/3’s retirement 1/3 towards a down payment for the house. I have no student loans/overhead so I can put a lot towards saving. From anyones experience should I shift my saving proportion more towards the house for the short term? I’m concerned that too much of my money will be tied up in my 401K

For those of you who spent a long time in big law (at least 10 years but more along the lines of 15+), when did you know it was time to do something else (maybe in the law, maybe not)? I don’t know if it’s wfh or just the work now, but I’m finding myself getting amazingly frustrated at things that barely bothered me before. I had an argument with opposing counsel last week and was seeing red for hours after that, and little things seem to bother me much much more than they would have before
Shout out to the parents who have to work and deal w their children and the virus. Bonus points, If you’re also in a 2 bedroom NYC apt with 4 people. Gonna use the hellscape to become tiktok famous https://vm.tiktok.com/pXAHwD/

Hey pharma fishes - I head up a boutique agency focused primarily on healthtech, including several companies who are service/solution providers for life sciences orgs. We’re looking for FL writers who know the business of the industry, and can tackle B2B content for product developers.
