Has anyone here (especially BCGers) taken a leave of absence in the past? Have you described it in the application as an employment break? If not, how’ve you explained your promotion isn’t on time?
I have 2 offers, one from a great company 50% raise in hcol city. The other less known company 10% raise, but in my home city close to my parents (I have 3 kids). Help me choose.
What is everyone's company standard salary increase for promotion? Found out today mine is 12% and anything higher must be approved by a VP.
When do you find out about discover? Want to quit after promotion in July but also want to experience Discover.
Does EY do early promotion?
Cool, firmwide promotion list is out so I can be bitter about all the other people I started with getting promoted when I didn't #grumpy
I’ve been a CD for a few years now. And I’m starting to worry about getting stuck here. How do you move up to GCD or ECD levels? Is it usually an internal promotion or external opportunity?
That time of year again. Just found out I’m being promoted to Manager. What should I expect for the raise? S2 -> M1
Has anyone gone on maternity or paternity leave while going up for promotion in the same year that is willing to share story or any impact?
Just wanted to remind my fellow creatives that agencies need us more than we need them. It’s important to be respectful, but don’t be afraid to speak up, push back, ask for a raise, ask for time off or quit. The value we bring to the table is fundamental, very hard to replace and is often overlooked by us and leadership. Agencies everywhere are in overdrive mode and creatives are being overworked to keep the engine moving. Make sure you’re compensated properly for it.
Should I take this job? Currently a Senior at EY in PI Financial Services. Have an opportunity to jump to KPMG Financial Services for 15% bump and title raise to Manager
Found out that my partner, who is an ACD is making more than I am as a CD. Problem is I can't reveal how I found out to my boss, so I don't know how to bring this up and ask for a raise.
What's your acceptable raise % with rating 1/2/3? (Please don't troll on this thread...) looking for realistic expectation.
Incompetent senior is up for promotion this year and is mostly likely gonna get promoted cuz she knows how to kiss asses. A couple people on her projects already quit and no associates want to (con’t)
Is it possible to interview into a role up at another firm, if I am looking at a promotion already (double jump)? Id probably would lack the YOE even though my promotions were consistently fast. Would it be better to just stick around?
Is it good to leave the DL firm to Home depot company for 125-135k base Right now i am getting 108K and there is a chance of promotion next year. Got 7 YOE
Hi all, Please help. I am working in Pega since June 2019(1year 10 months now) and currently looking for a job switch. Can any of you please refer me or let me know any process for applying? Thanks.
Interviewed yesterday with D for a consulting role with GPS 2ish YOE and multiple internships with big orgs. Everything went great except the qualitative part of the case which was awkward because I was emailed a sheet that had partial info about the case prior to the start, but I was supposed to act as if I didn’t? Quantitatively went very well. One interviewer had to reschedule due to technical difficulties. Idk if did well enough for the offer but the wait is🤢 Any tips on this last interv?
It seems Campaign article on parental leave has made many rethink their attitude on the subject. Shame on you for only changing when you feared for yr reputation. And not when employees demanded it.
Torn between deciding: - haas (120k$ scholarship) -LBS (no $) On company MBA sponsorship as well so would pocket some of that money if choosing haas. Career goals would be to break into tech product management (currently in consulting). I also have personal reasons to live and travel a lot abroad and would love the opportunity to pursue an international career potentially in the future as well (which is why I was considering lbs). What are y’all’s thoughts?
Thoughts on 22squared (in ATL)?
Anyone else having the hard internal decision of returning to work in office? I LOVE my group and the people but I LOVE the flexibility of working at home - I have high billables so no commute gives me extra personal time or work time as needed. There are some firms offering a flex WFH/WFO and some fully remote positions. I am afraid I can leave and end up with an awful group/culture but also afraid for my mental health of going back to office 100% full time M-Th. Anyone else in the same boat?
Is mid-June too early for a small birthday party (3 or 4 friends) for my teenager? We are in MN and socially distant groups of 10 or less are "allowed" technically. My poor kid is so lonely.
Anyone transition from being an Executive Assistant into an HR role? How did you go about it?
Thoughts on getting a Jeep Wrangler? For those that have had one, what was your experience like?
If anyone has audit friends (not at EY) who want out and into consulting my practice is hiring and let me know. It will use accounting skills but is NOT audit, IT audit, etc. It is consulting around tech implementation.
Believe it or not I hate when I see PPMDs on late at night or on weekends because it leads me to believe that the work life balance never gets better and probably gets worse 😩
How bad of a look would it be to leave Deloitte to go to AWS after 9 months? Was at previous consulting firm for just over 2 years. Kind of over D and see a potentially interesting exit at AWS but don’t wanna cripple my resume with a short stint, especially if I apply for an MBA next year. Do I stick it out for a year? 2?Deloitte Amazon Web Services
With the climate crisis unfolding and accelerating around the world, is anyone else finding it much harder to focus at work? I am really starting to worry, the impacts are becoming very real.
Hi Fishes , I got an offer from a start up company randomtrees ., Anyone working there ,? How's the work culture etc
Unpaid internship available!
Just got an offer for 140k base with 5%-10% bonus at large media / tech company. I feel like this is a good offer but not sure based on what I see in this app. Current comp is 110k and 5%-10% bonus with 4YOE.
Zoom WFH secrets: No one has figured out yet the big black box thing in the background of my home office is where hubby dries and trims his pot plants.
Has anyone recruited for consulting through a non-mba masters? I’m thinking of going back for a master’s in health management to rerecruit for healthcare consulting.
Open to exploring my options for going indep. 8 year vet at EJ w/$150m AUM ($90m fee-based), & a CFP. Not unhappy @ EJ but not able to be a true planner. How do I compare all the options?
