Dude $50k discount at what a 4th year in biglaw makes? That’s is a DEAL. Wow. Well done. Everyone can stop playing now, this guy won life. Literally — you got you life back for the low low sum of $50k/year lol. That’s the dream for anyone who is not tryna be partner tbh.

Lol same. Had an in-house interview and they were doing the math on how soon I could start and I was like, whoa whoa, let’s just make sure the fit is right and how about I meet 10 more people then I start in January? I think Seriously interviewing in October will be ideal for a yearend move but also imagine everyone will be looking after that.

Looks like a massive Exodus happened in Deloitte? Trying to staff a project and there is literally no one to staff with (at least Salesforce practice) and we are having to reach out to contractors. Is this a result of layoffs that happened last year and folks are purely unhappy with pay (not considering project pressure as that can vary/be subjective)? For folks who have been here for a long time, is this a common occurrence or is it especially bad this time around?

Hot take: consultants at MBB have big egos and seem to promote the idea that they're the "best of the best" not realizing that, in 2021, the "best of the best" works in "tech" typically as engineers and consultants are actually just overworked also rans with oversized egos.

A resource I'm overseeing is ghosting PTO hours - i.e. not charging any for half days or lumping in 45 hours for M-Th with 0 hours on Friday. Is this something you'd escalate to management?
