There should be remote learning after the break for at least 2 weeks to ensure the safety of staff and students to minimize living room spread.

Students in my district are not coming back in person until January 19 (18TH is PD day). They will return from break on the 4th with remote learning. We have been remote since the week before Thanksgiving.

Me!

At our school, students aren’t returning in person until January 14 (restarting remotely January 4) to allow for quarantine period.

Wish we were doing this-We are only doing one week of remote-seems like a no brainer to me for a 2 week period. Glad your school is doing it!

I am a California teacher looking to relocate. My son is pushing for Boerne. I have spent most of my life in small private Christian schools and loved it! When I moved to public school the large class sizes and trauma/sped students filling my classroom burned me out. I moved to homeschool this year (with my same district) and love it!!! I am curious about teaching in Texas. Class sizes, special ed, private school, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

So I was hired exactly 2 months prior to this covid epidemic and as a result it has made learning how to be a lawyer quite a rollercoaster. I’m trying to learn how things are supposed to be but in all actuality, I’m having to be flexible and figure out how things are working at the moment...which is fine, but it’s hard to predict much of anything when you have nothing to compare it to. Being a law student and interning is nothing compared to practicing. Any advice!?

Need some insight into menopause. I’ve been living with my family during covid and it’s been very difficult with my mom. She is mostly in a bad mood, constantly picks fights, has mood swings at times, and is miserable. Some of this is due to other issues at home but I’m wondering if it could be hormonal. Is this menopause?

I have no idea how to get motivated again. I am a legit zombie that sits and types for hours and hours without talking to anyone. I feel like a shell of a person. And nobody in management cares about any associates well being in this remote environment. I’m a person who likes to talk about things, but I am well aware that nobody in management would even want to actually do anything to help. Is anyone else feeling the same?
