Who else is too burned out to even apply to other jobs? And for those of you who managed to apply and interview successfully while working - how did you do it? Any concrete, tactical advise would be very much appreciated.

Consider using a virtual assistant to source jobs for you, and then you build a master copy resume, and cover letter and then hire cover letter writing help from Fiverr for specific roles. ^Congrats you just became the partner of your own firm working 5-10 hours weekly for your own interests. 4 month cost should be roughly $200 monthly for the VA 20 hours a week, and $30-$50 per cover letter write up.

Appreciate the advice - thank you

I had been dreading updating my resume for months. Finally one Saturday I just opened my laptop and said I’d work for a few mins. Ended up finishing it. Even then, I just used LinkedIn EasyApply and indeed/Glassdoor equivalents. Didn’t write a single cover letter, just send them into the void. ~25 apps, ~6 interested, interviewed with 4, finally got an offer with 1! Tried not to stress too much before interviewing— just be myself and trust what I know. My advice: Just wing it— it might work out!

My job is taking a toll because I’m so focused on interviews. It’s difficult for me to interview/case prep while also doing all the sh!t I have to do for work so I’ve been prioritizing interviewing 🤷🏾‍♀️

Help! Applying to a job and one of the only real requirement is to show how I’m “adept at understanding client needs, and designing and implementing creative solutions”. My issue is I work in risk advisory and most of our client engagements don’t actually involve implementation. We usually present our findings and recommendations and move on. What’s the best way I can tackle this? I’m coming up blank and the deadline is soon.

So I left my current job for a new position that pays 22k more and is more development than admin work. I was supposed to start on 11/15 and it is now pushed back to 11/30 due to the background check still not being done yet. So I spoke to the recruiter yesterday and she said they can offer a signing bonus of $1,000 and I told her I have to think about it because the 2 weeks of pay I’m out is almost $4,000. Like I quit my job for this. I think they can do better than $1,000 am I wrong?

Cyber: EY vs Accenture - which do you think will give me better exit ops when up for Manager (2-3yrs)? Accenture seems very ahead of the game when it comes to tech, but im also trying to get less hands-on implementation and more into strategy and selling, which seems like it might align more with EY. These are just gut feelings tho, would like input from people in the know.

Been working on mostly (about 70%) public sector policy and strategy at Big 4 for most of my career. Often go up against MBB on RFPs and have a decent win rate. Would I be too senior to come in as a lateral hire? I guess it’s all about client networks at this level, and being government, it’s locationally dependent - so which markets have need?
