Deloitte Interview was pretty quick. Heard back yesterday after partner interview only 2 hours later. Got the offer!
From my experience, insight #1 - in many cases recruiters are in the same boat with me because it’s the partner(s) in the practice to decide whether I’m qualified for an offer. Insight #2 - in many cases the long wait is due to the fact that the office is waiting for other interviewees’ responses and/or you might be in the waitlist.
Also can anymore suggest the best way to follow up with the recruiter? I.e. timeline and phone or email?
I usually find the recruiter and have a discussion before I apply. Either that or apply and have an internal referral then be submitted and then contact the recruiter.
I think being proactive and sending an introductory email after your application gets you noticed.
Anyone else feel free to chime in. I’m a novice to applying for jobs. I’ve always been the one being recruited for Big4 positions until the RIF hit me.
I have a lot of smaller firms and companies still reach out but no Big4 like they used to.
Is a phone call after a final round interview with HR a good or bad sign?
Thanks!!!
BDO interview was set up pretty quickly. All through Teams but on different days (prob because of scheduling conflicts). Maintained constant communication with BDO HR throughout the process, and had feedback as the interviews ended.
Ended up getting an offer a week later.
Also had an interview with Marcum. Was a different experience since point of contact was in different state as the one I was interviewing in. Communication was poor. Got an offer but declined.
Been dealing with BDO as well, and the process has been surprisingly fast: resume to recruiter call to interview in a matter of days. I like that they staggered them - makes it a lot easier to schedule during the workday. Still debating between this and B4, but honestly, BDO is doing the process right for sure.
I was offered a position at a lower salary than I wanted. A couple days later, I was offered the position I wanted with about a 10% pay raise (accepted immediately lol).
Lots of pacing around my living room.
I applied to PwC and I’m waiting for an interview :-( status on workday shows that I will be interviewing but I haven’t heard anything. 😔
It helped me by trying to figure out things I could’ve improved on during the interview from my own perspective and also continued looking on the different platforms - when done I got outside by giving less time to work - heard back after 4 days tho, peace out PA
