Me!! She's local, I travel. Works out quite well.

Yes. My wife and I met on a project. 12 years together and 2 kids now. She dropped out of consulting but I’m still at it. She has a great deal of empathy for the demands of my job, which is why it works

IBM1 balling, how'd you meet said fwb

like

Talk about what communication you each need during the week. Prioritize each other on the weekends.

🖐️ Me! Easiest relationship by far. We try to see each other through flex trips every 2-3 weeks. He's local mostly while I've always traveled. Helps that we both understand the demands of consulting.

Met my wife at an earlier job. Been married for 4 years. She is generally local and travels with me sometimes with in lieu. No kids yet

like

I met my husband when I was at a client and he was consulting there. He travels, I mostly am local. Understanding the demands is a must.

like

Met SO on the plane to a work training - we are both local though so no coordination needed. Good luck op

C1, have you not hooked up with your colleagues?

M1 is this common? I’m not aware of any fwb on any of my projects...seems messy imo

No.... How common is this? I've never done it/ only heard of 2 people so far that hafe

It's not common... Always try to meet those from other firms

Any NYC MBB consultants - do you generally travel outside of Manhattan for work? Or are your projects within the city generally? If you can share example schedules for first year, that’d be great!

I have the Amex Bonvoy card ($95 annual fee) and am thinking of canceling it. Not really sure if it's worth keeping it considering how little the Marriott points are worth.
One downside I see is that I have had this card since '97 (my first card) and I read that credit score considers average age of cards so am concerned that might take a hit. Thoughts on canceling?
Secondly, what are the best cashback cards nowadays if I don't want to pay an annual fee?
TIA!

ACN folk: where can I find information on corporate discount rates for phones, specifically AT&T

This might be a stupid question but... I haven’t been able to get a haircut due to covid restrictions in my city. All are closed and have been for over 2 months, my hair is a disaster and I have 2x mbb interviews coming up. I have 2 options really, shave the head (I’m ok with that) just leave as is and make a joke about it. I’m worried it’s going to look unprofessional the way my hair is now because it’s “unkept”. Am I being worried for no reason?

At what point is it considered optimal to make the jump from Big4 to FAANG? I've been a Tech Consultant at EY for a little under a year and, while I like the company very much, I do very little actual technical work. Experienced hire, Senior, 130k base. I'm very tempted to jump over to Amazon (despite their reputation for frugality). Do I attempt to make the switch now or wait until I get promoted to Manager?
