Who else moved to Denver during COVID? If so, why did you choose Denver?

(Midlevel at v100) Continual desire to quit biglaw and do something more fulfilling/less stressful, but also feel currently trapped. Covid seems to have simultaneously sped up desire and /cont.

Any thoughts on covid impact to LA’s wild pricey market? My pessimistic viewpoint is that economy will be hit hard by end of year and trying to think through downstream impacts. We are sitting on our downpayment and we’re in the market for but now very hesitant to stretch our budgets in any way.

I’m a tax manager with over 10 years of experience (5 years public, 4 in industry, and back to public for 3 but in “transformation”). I got burnt out during covid and took a break from work. And now I’m trying to decide if I want to take a big pay cut and start over in a data analytics role. Just feeling sort of lost 😭

So I recently found out that a coworker of mine is making more $$ and is at a higher level when it comes to our bonus payouts. I've been in my job for almost 3 years and basically got thrown under the bus the first 11/2 years because of lack of training and COVID. Since the new coworker started my group has had more "training sessions" in the last 4 months than I've ever had in the previous 2 years.

Seeing your guys posts have me really sad.. So I started at Rite aid 3 years ago at start of Covid when I lost my job (factory) closed with no experience or training.. I’m now MI state licensed, not nationally certified. I fought with the union to get raises in our district and they did give us pay raises on the first of the 2022 year. so making 13.50 with a 25 cent pay raise a year.. I love my job and coworkers and my pharmacist.. but seeing these pay rates y’all have I’m very disappointed.

Isn't it annoying that EY takes total 3 months for appraisals . 1 month to discuss performance and convey the ratings, then 1 month for bonus payout and then again 1 month to reveal hikes. Why can't they just do it all at a go and finish the suspense. We need to wait for 3 months to decide our next course of action.
