Who has done the coding interview for the Google Cloud Infrastructure Engineer position?
How was it?

I recently took a job in a startup for a bigger paycheck and to shift to aproduct based company. I left my previous company where i got along great with my boss but the work was too much and always too busy. At the new company i learnt they let go of the product owner i was supposed to work under & this put me in a bad position as i clearly did not have enough experience to handle senior position & i was let go on friday after two months since i was not good enough to fill both roles. :(

Can anyone recommend good books or articles on startup org charts and hiring? Think we’ve hit early signs of product/market fit, but not sure who to hire next, in what order, and how the org should evolve over next few years.

I see Microsoft’s Audit Manger position requiring 3 + YOE. That sounds odd to me. I would expect at least 5 + YOE.

Do Audit Managers prepare work papers in this case ? Just curious.

How does one most effectively make the transition into management from an Individual Contributor?

I've been an individual contributor for 4 years in Tech, have 8 years of experience total. I'm finding it difficult to make the management transition despite having management experience, performing beyond expectations, and having a genuine passion for enablement and development.

My current manager is a very controlling and has perpurated a v tense culture within the team. The boss recognises that the team is stressed, but blames the team for having such an attitude. The person is a micro manager dictates things like when work pings should happen, but at the root of it all, the team is over competitive & unhappy because of the leadership. In team matching after the specific PgM role (Cloud) I interviewed for was filled internally. Was told my interviews were very strong. Any advice for navigating this process? Have had a great experience with recruiter/team thus far.

I need to push my starting date by 1-2 weeks due to my h1b transfer not coming through on time. I have notified the recruiter about this concern and they said it’s easy to change push the start date in system.

After MBA, Deloitte UK offered me a low-ball position of a C instead of SC. I really want to work for Google (dream co.) in their GCP domain as a Program Manager as I have Project Manager experience too. But every time I apply for the role, I get rejected. I have 9 years of total work ex, and MBA, project manager exp and my last role was of Solutions Architect. I have relevant cloud and PM certifications too. Currently working for Deloitte. Can anyone plz help?
