I so miss my small office with a sliver of a window. I got so much more work done.

Totes. It's gross. I'd take the old cubicle over the meat market.

I absolutely despise open layout. I'd die for even cubicles at this point

Jay Chiat ! Claimed he got the inspiration at Teluride. Would me more collaborative, etc. he did it because he needed to cut costs so his stockholders could see a profit. In the end screwed us all. It was a disaster 25 years ago when we went "virtual". Is worse now.

I confess. The royalties are amazing though.

Has anyone been in a situation (apartment / condo) where they had a shared wall with a smoking permitted-unit where there was a regular smoker - did anyone speak to your doctor / receive medical advice about whether the secondhand smoke exposure would be enough to potentially cause medical issues? In this case, there would be a shared wall but not a shared ventilation system - slightly concerned about the smell but mostly concerned about medical issues given the carcinogens in cig smoke

Went out this weekend for my cousin’s 21st bday. My cousin ended up getting super sick, throwing up at the bar, etc. my buddy and his gf came to the same bar (they were celebrating gf’s bday). Seeing my cousin in a bad state I decided to take her home. My buddy’s gf got super mad at me and my gf for wanting to care for my cousin. She then gave a half assed apology saying she was annoyed at the situation. I don’t really know how to bring this up to my friend. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Been on FMLA / short term disability for 3 months and doctor recommended 1.5 months extension. Not sure if anyone else deals with this, but I feel so inferior compared to my friends at medical school or those who went to Ivy post grads. I went straight to Accenture right after college and while I’m so grateful for having a good job, I just feel like I haven’t done enough and will never realize certain financial goals at the rate I’m going. The problem is I’ve never really been good at setting attainable goals and often get discouraged and feel as though I can never be “the high achiever”

Does anyone have any tips to get back into a healthy lifestyle after giving yourself a break for a few days. I had been doing really well for the last 2-3 months, was feeling great and lost about 20lbs.
