I have a Jr 1 Bedroom in DC (Logan Circle). It is the best $80 i spend every two weeks. I supply the supplies and vacuum. It’s so nice to come home on pay day to a nice clean apartment. If I get a pay raise one day i will hire her to come weekly and also do laundry.
I didn’t have a tipping point, just hate cleaning
We do every 3 weeks. Dual income no kids both work way to much and travel. Absolutely worth it.
Tipping point for us was kids. We both work, and there was no way we were going to spend our family time cleaning (there’s so much picking up and laundry day to day already). It’s a bargain at twice the price from my POV.
It’s helped my marriage a lot.
$120 every two weeks, saves us maybe 3 hours and arguments about who did what and when, is X task equal to Y task Yama tads yada.
Great value.
This job is so stressful it’s nice to not have to worry about cleaning my apartment. I’m in GPS so I’m here every night so it’s not like she’s cleaning an apartment i never live in.
I may be the only one here who doesn’t. We both travel for work (no kids) and with a divide/conquer approach it doesn’t take much to keep it clean/neat. Plus I don’t like strangers in the house when we’re gone so I would rather do it myself
I had one but she’s been really flaky lately so I’m looking for another.
When I got divorced, I decided to treat myself with a housekeeper. I hate bathrooms and the kitchen and baseboards so it’s the best $80-$100 once a month. And I have them come when I’m working from home - I’m out do the way in my Office but still Home.
Have one who comes every week. She does all the cleaning and our laundry. Don’t know what I did before her. Tipping point was my wife is messier than me and it was causing tension so we solved it by applying money to the problem
When I moved from a shared condo to a townhouse I bought on my own, I realized I just didn't have the time to throughly clean the house each week. Being able to bring in 2 people once a month or so to help saves me soo much time.
I had a cleaner who came weekly when I had roommates.
My parents have one who comes before & after they have houseguests or house parties.
Had one almost as soon as I whacked with my SO. Once a month for deep clean (bathrooms, blinds, etc) although she’d do all the light stuff too. Gradually increased to biweekly and, once we had kids, every week. Life too short to spend time vacuuming etc
