I used it to finance my $999 Apple pro stand. Never felt so amazing in my life

funnylike

Just the ease of it all. I use Apple Pay whenever it’s available which is most places these days, my first reaction when paying is to reach for my phone now. 2% cash back on anything you use Apple Pay on it pretty good and it’s super easy to just apply it to ur balance when u decide to pay.

like

I just use it for 2% when I’m not in a category that I would otherwise have that. Its not great but doesn’t hurt to have imo.

Honestly the financing on Apple products

Agreed, I like the financing on Apple products. I only got it because KPMG only reimburses phone installment payments, and I don’t have a contract with a cell company.

I get the 45$ a month since I have no phone installment or contract. I have a prepaid phone that auto renews every month

OP, don’t forget to put it in GMS Independence

Really straightforward when it comes to making payments - it tells you exactly how much you need to pay to avoid interest that month. It’s always accessible on your phone and really secure - card doesn’t even have a number on it, super slick looking too.

Landed a job in NYC. As much as I want to live there and will be moving in with my partner I think the most financially savvy option is to live in Jersey city to save on the city tax. Both our salaries would definitely go up next year so moving to the city would be a huge possibility in 2022. Has anyone else started our in Jersey city first ? Is it worth it or should I just try to make it work in NYC ?

Tax question - I make about $200k and get half of my income from a W-2 and another half from being an independent contractor. Because, I’m subject to pay both FICA and SECA taxes. Do my social security taxes get capped on amounts paid above the ~$140k threshold across both my W-2 and 1099 incomes or am I out of luck and have to pay more than that since only about 100k of my income is FICA and the other 100K is SECA (which is subject to ~12% overall including the ER portion)?
