Who has the hiring power in terms of getting a job? The CD or the HR recruiter?

My current company is “taking me off payroll” but instead of laying me off or firing me, are fully expecting me to take up an hourly contractor position for $30/hour with no specified time or guarantee of hours. How do I respectfully tell them no?

Any larger firms in Denver, CO or Tampa, FL hiring right now? Looking to relocate to either place. Third year, litigation.

So... are agencies hiring, or no? I feel like one minute I’m witnessing layoffs, and the next I’m seeing job postings on LinkedIn.

So far I received offers from PwC India, Capgemini and Lexmark for Data Engineering.

More are in pipeline from KPMG GS, TechM, Accenture.

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐
