We have Step Up To Writing, which isn’t exactly scripted, however, it is very regimental. I actually like knowing the other teachers are literally on the same page as I am .
Our district was just introduced to this program and we’re supposed to implement it into our curriculum. What do you think is the most helpful parts of the program?
For math-Eureka Math!
Illustrative Math is pretty scripted as well
Learnzillion for HS English. I hate it. It assumes everyone is at a high level of understanding but we have to follow it “with fidelity” so my pacing is always HUGELY off and I get downgraded on my evaluations
Everyday Math and Lucy Calkins mini units of study are pretty scripted. But I agree with the above statement of knowing everyone in my team is on the same page.
Lol. I’m reading eureka math as scripted but we’ve been using connecting math concepts and sra reading in my sdc class. We’re transitioning to eureka and it’s very loose compared to those
Connecting Math and SRA Rdg are the most scripted programs I’ve ever used but the results are great!
I think that this fine for remedial programs but with mixed classes teachers need to be able to determine the pace based upon the needs of the students.
I’m running into a blindingly fast pace, when I NEED to remediate. So I fall behind
Benchmark Advance🤦♀️
I’m on year 3 with it. 🙈
We have Teacher’s College and it’s very scripted. Word for word....
We have springboard for math and it’s really scripted. The district walkthroughs are even looking for superficial junk that have no real educational value; it’s simply looking for if you are using the springboard curriculum with fidelity. It’s TERRIBLE.
I got nailed for not reviewing every slide, even “yesterday we covered” and a list of materials needed
