Dropped off my ballot. No wait.

I mailed my ballot two weeks ago. In Wisconsin you can go online and see if it is received. My ballot is in and will count! Very easy process. Please plan how you will vote!

Voted two weeks ago. Dropped ballot off directly to city clerk. No wait.

I voted last weekend. Mail-in. No stress, plenty of official ballot drop off’s in my county.

Mailed mine in via USPS.

In person 30 minutes

Mail-in!

In person. Took two hours, and holy moley it was hot outside!

In person. About 20 minutes. They were impressively efficient with the line.

Early voting opened here yesterday. I had about an hour wait at 5pm.

In person at the mall. It took 20 minutes, in and out. 😀

30 minutes for in person voting. Early voting place was across the street from the campus. It took longer to drive around and park than it did to vote.

In person, I was in and out in 10 min!

I voted in-person, a week ago. My county has drive through voting. IT Took me about 75 mins. to get through a car line.

Any southern Vermont recommendations that aren’t skiing / snowboarding? Open to other outdoor activities, museums, food, etc. Would it be worth a weekend or day trip now, or is it better to wait until summer or fall if we don’t ski or snowboard?

After reading the letter that Andrew Gutmann wrote the Brearley school, it made me think. I understand the most basic need for kids is safety. However, I liked his opinion that the first priority of schools should be education. We sacrifice education in the name of safety all the time, with this year being a doozy. How do you feel about his statement about education?

Does anyone work in a school where they are taking steps to fix the current boy achievement problem in the nation? Boys are falling further and further behind girls by every metric possible. College enrollment rates are now 60/40. Boys are disciplined and suspended way more. Boys are medicated much more. Girls are highest ranked students by 7 to 3. 1 in 8 of all American males are unemployed. There is a major boy crisis in America.

My school has used The Boomerang Project in the past to help students transition from middle to high school. By the time I found out the 2 teachers who lead the program were leaving our school it was too late to receive the training last spring. I looked today to see when the next training is happening so I could talk to my principal about signing up, however every training is sold out! Does anyone know of a program that is comparable to look into? Google search has not helped.

(Word wall idea...)

Hey, y'all! Wishing you lots of peace with however your school year begins after all of THAT!

I'm changing classroom themes this year, and thinking to try a more interactive, velcro word wall. Our word wall is just...there. I want to make flip chart stories for Language that include blank velcro spaces for our words, so that the kids see me pull and use them in read aloud examples.

Anyone else tried this? I'm hoping for durability through weekly use, here...
