Can someone explain how it possibly makes sense to buy, purely from a financial perspective, in sf right now? I want to, but a 2b mortgage seems like it’s ~$5k in the areas I’m interested in whereas rent for a comparable unit is $2.9-3.5k/month. Have a somewhat confusing question hoping to get some insight. I had to cancel a Southwest flight last year due to covid. They issued a credit but informed me I had to book a flight that was before 9/22/21 or the credit would be lost. Here’s my question: if I book the flight so it is before the 22nd and use the credit to pay for it, if I decide to change flight dates to after 9/22 would that transfer over? Or would I have to forfeit the credit and pay for the flight. Hope this makes sense!
