Would I be comped mileage when I have to travel to a customer site? If so how does it work? 4. Can I work from home, or will I be expected to work from the office every day? Who sets the policy? 5. What's up with the $1K commuting stipend? What's it good for?6. Is there a pension fund outside of 401k? If so what's it look like? Thanks!

Has anyone noticed that a good amount of recruiters at shops like Selby Jennings, etc., have IB experience? For instance, recruiter reached out to me and has 2.5 years as an analyst at Wells Fargo. Why would anyone switch from IB into recruiting? More bonus potential (getting paid % of placed persons salary) and less stress/hours?

Just got a gift from a co worker. Guess I'll make that my holiday bonus by a degree of separation. Thanks Accenture.
After almost 2 years of job hunting, I finally put in my 2 week notice!!! I thank this bowl for answering my questions (whether good or bad) and helping me understand (and cope with) the loooong job hunt. As I know I’ll be asked in comments: moving into S&O/internal consulting (non-tech industry), 3 YOE, campus hire from progressive masters (non-biz/tech degree), HCOL (7% paycut but great benefits/bonus/WLB), reasons for leaving ACN: skills atrophy and no professional growth support from mgmt

What are you 🐠 counting when you list your all in comp? Base+bonus+retirement contribution? Do you count anything else...healthcare benefits, etc?
So I I’ve decided I’ve about had it with ID. Class of 2019 with about 1 year of labor and employment litigation experience. Currently doing employment issues in municipality defense. Any NYC biglaw litigation with tips how to lateral/want to grab a referral bonus?

Not crashing anymore.
Maybe we should implement something like automatic posts refresh? I got a notification about "someone like mypost" but it isn't displaying at the post title...

Parents in Consulting. How do you manage consulting hours (50+ hours) with children? What does your schedule look like?
Tax season, and I just noticed I have a household income of $700K. Guess how much we've saved? $0!!! $300K goes to tax - thanks to CA $60K goes to housing mortage, HOA, and tax $15K goes to travel & vacation $10K goes to BTS... Where did the rest of money go? NO IDEA... Looks like just dining and grocery stuff. I don't have even have kids, didn't buy any luxury brands last year.
What household income would you need to be comfortable buying an 800k house? Assuming no other debt. Know there are many other factors besides HHI, just taking the temperature here
Someone once told me around age 26 is when your career either takes off or it flattens out to where you’ll be long term . Here I am at 27 and I’m not optimistic for my future. This sucks.
