In August I'm moving up to a county level position. Teacher on Special Assignment in charge of math and science-related field trips. I'm beyond excited for this new opportunity.
Same position! But I am still excited. I guess it's the passion that's kicking in.
New district ... opposite direction geographically from my house than the previous one and a longer commute ... 37 miles instead of 11. Different age group ... 7th and 8th graders instead of high school ... I haven't taught 7th and 8th grade before although I've coached them. Different subject area ... social studies instead of special ed. Looking forward to it although I hope I can bring it creatively day to day ... something I haven't done in the past few years. I don't know many of the students although I know some of the staff members and stakeholders.
Coach
Exciting and 37 miles. Whoo.
I’m scared. How about you?
I'm starting a new school in August. This will be my 2nd school. I was at the same school for my first three years, I had connected with the kids and will miss them. My new school is about an hour from my home and a small country school. It will be different. I am excited for the challenge of change. But I am super nervous, they have no whiteboard so I plan on repurposing the chalkboard. There is alot of new. I will love the kids, I hope they are as loving and supportive as my old crew.
Finally the SAME position and I'm ecstatic!
I'm starting at a new school with brand new content for 2 courses. I'm nervous... I am used to change; but, I know I don't like it....
I’m moving in to an instructional coach role at my current district. Not sure how I feel about leaving the classroom but I think I’m excited.
I am! Classes will start on August and I am a bit excited. It's a new school so wish me luck.
Luck!!
I'm moving from high school to middle school in the same content area (social studies). I'm also changing schools and districts, going from a 30 min commute each way to a 5 min commute here in the city where I live. Also going from private school back to public school. So LOTS of change for me this year. My new school and district have been really great so far getting me prepared for my first year there!
Moving into the Coordinator of Student Activities office at my school. Going to be a lot of work, but SO awesome!
Super excited but also nervous! I’m started my first year EVER in August. Spending the summer lesson planning as to ease the load when school starts.
I was at one school for 11 years, left, worst decision career wise, but learned so much. Took a year out of the classroom and now headed back in at a new school. I'm excited because their onboarding process has been amazing. I've already been invited to a new hire luncheon and my mentor has already reached out.
I'll be teaching social studies in the Fall. A favorite subject of mine. It is time for me to influence young minds for the better. wish me luck!
