This is a traditional Lebanese dish called shish barak. It’s like manti but in a yogurt-based sauce, and usually topped with cilantro and garlic

Ignore them OP. They think just because the food doesn’t look like something they’ve eaten before it must by default be awful. So much of the world’s best food is visually different but delicious

Looks like Russian meat dumplings with sour cream (pelmeni). But the flag is Lebanon so probably some kind of variation of dumplings from Lebanon?

We call that sepas or madzoonov kufteh (we make it with kufteh instead of manti). Yogurt soup?

Manti.

Why is the manti drowning in yogurt? Where is the tomato based sauce?

Any book recommendations for being a confident man? I grew up without a father and sometimes I feel like I’m lacking confidence or I let people trample over my ideas or I’m the only quiet one in a room. I am finding the Instagram foodie culture strange and annoying. I’m getting a flood of likes and followers daily because they want you to like all their posts and follow them to up their count. There’s an unspoken etiquette where you are obligated to do the same thing. So I do it. I just want to cook, take pics of my food, and write about it to have a collection of what I make in one place. Sheesh! Rant over! 😁
