Who on here has been double jabbed but is refusing a booster, and why? Just curious!

🙋 I've gotten covid twice, pre-jab in 2020 and again this September post-jab. No worse than a flu either time and I'm otherwise healthy as a horse, so my own personal risk profile plus the vaxxes not keeping up with mutations leads me to have zero interest in signing up for an endless series of boosters.

I have one shot so far, getting the second in January. Won’t be getting boosters. I’m healthy and young, I’m not concerned and wasn’t before(got it for work). Get boosters, mask and self-isolate if you’re worried. I’ll keep eating well, taking D3, magnesium, fish oil and occasionally zinc, working out and spending time outdoors and with family/friends.

Update - I got Christmas Covid and it was mild, a flu. I’m absolutely not getting boosters. I’ll push out this 2nd shot a month from now, but then I’m done. Fire me or whatever at this point. It’s exhausting working with you people anyways.

I’ll get it but instead of worrying about triple jabbing a bunch of 20somethings, we should be vaccinating the rest of the world and addressing vaccine inequality, for all our sakes.

So your idea of equality and equity is to move variant factories from overseas back home. Love the new take on inshoring.

Not refusing but not rushing to get it. Double vaxxed plus had Covid so additional immunity. Didn’t get very sick so not particularly worried. Not anti Vax just don’t think I need it.

Wait until they change definition of fully vaxxed to be 3 shots. A company in NY is requiring that from their employees 🤡

What's the point in getting a third if the first 2 didn't work?

likesmartfunny

@AP1 LOL I don't get my Flu vaccine either because it doesn't work next year. /s Ironic how in the face of a vaccine so politicized people so easily forget that we always got routine vaccines and this one is no different. You may as well not get your Tetanus boosters or your yearly Flu shots with the way you're thinking.

Double jabbed and got the booster. It's to protect me from idiots.

M1, the fact that's they are vaxxed and this less likely to get covid when you randomly run into them. Question, two rooms filled with 100 strangers each. One all vaxxed one not. You must walk into one of them and walk around for 30min. Which do you choose? And no, neither of them has cake 😜

Me - got vaxxed due to Biden’s mandate which is now on hold. I won’t be getting anything else. The vaccines cannot keep up with the virus mutations and wane after so many months so not really sure what it’s protecting us from. I’ll be better off with my mask, social distancing and washing my hands.

Me - Got vaccinated while at basic in 2020, they didn't give us much a choice at Benning. So I didn't want it then, and having forced to get it I definitely don't want it now.

Well when I heard the Pfizer 4 is coming out soon I figured why bother getting the 3?

Gotta try 5 to see if it really works!

I got the original vaccine as soon I could and plan to get the booster soon. That said, my neighbor had Covid after being double vaxxed, and then got the booster, and later got Covid again.

Been almost a year since I first got vaccinated. I’m not getting the booster under any circumstances. I will get re vaccinated once vaccines start adapting to other strands, like with the flu vaccine. Until then, I’ve done my part.

Didn’t get it to begin with, won’t be getting it. Fire me 🔥🤣

I don’t know more than the experts who have spent their entire careers in this field. I don’t tell mechanics or accountants or engineers or any other profession that my opinion is better than their expertise. I’m boosted and will do what the experts say is best for me and everyone else.

likefunny

I got boosted but going forward I’m not doing more than 1 per year, like a flu shot (unless some new risk is introduced that could be impactful)

I’m of the same view. I just got boosted yesterday and I won’t be getting another booster until next holiday season.

I’m not getting it until the overlords of the land commands it.

There's no way we have enough preliminary data on 2 vs 3 jabs yet.

I'm not refusing the booster but am a little hesitant and will be talking to my doctor first. I received first 2 shots at a mass vaccination site. First time, went by myself. I waited the required 15 minutes and was dismissed. Shortly after that 15 minutes was up and I had left he vaccination site, I began feeling itchy in my arms, heart racing, and nausea. Admittedly, I'm an anxious type, so I chalked up my reaction to anxiety since the symptoms decreased quickly after taking a little bit (approx 1/4 of adult dose) of kid's benadryl (which is also how I handle mild anxiety). It was a 30 minute drive from vax site to home and I stopped to buy the benadryl; by the time I got home, I felt fine. Second time, I took someone with me. This time, I pre-gamed the kid benadryl, same amount as first shot. Felt fine, but again felt nausea and had that heart racing feeling about 20 minutes after the shot - again after having left the site. This time the racing heart and nausea were more intense (no itching). Both times in a very much in my head about side effects. And, while I have some mild anxiety, the racing heart is an unusual feeling for me and it really intensified my fear. I also tend to panic when I'm nauseated - I vomited at least a half dozen times a day for 7 months when pregnant, so I've got some legit trauma that is triggered when I feel nauseated. I ended up taking more benadryl in the car as well as zofran for the nausea as my friend drove me home. As with the first time, I felt fine by the time I got home albeit a bit silly for panicking. All that is to say, I'm not sure whether my symptoms were anxiety or due to the vaccine either time. I am absolutely hesitant to get a booster. I'm curious if there is the same amount of vaccine as in the first shots or if maybe it's a dialed down version since it's a booster. I'm fearful and this had led me to also drag my feet in getting my kid vaccinated too.

like

Booster should have a smaller amount in it. That being said, your anxiety is super valid! Would definitely talk to your doctor about it. Hope all goes well

I'm not vaxxed at all. Dont want to bc I rarely leave my house anyways

Don’t you have to go office and client site ?

Same as K1 and only a little over 3 months from my second jab. Plus the queues I’ve been hearing about don’t really attract me. Risk catching a cold by standing in a queue for 3 hours - I can wait until Jan.

Got the booster but still suffering the side effects after almost 3 weeks (heart pounding, nausea, bloating, diarrhea, severe cramps, abnormal spotting, muscle aches) . Going to keep wearing my mask and hope that I don't need a 4th booster any time soon.

In light of COVID-19, what advice are you giving your large, apartment complex owners and managers with properties that historically have (organic) huge July 4 parties on the premises (outside, pool area, etc.). Obviously they can close the pool to discourage large gatherings. Security can call the police if gatherings start to erupt outside and will not disburse when asked. What else are you recommending can be done?

A friend started a new job and went into the office knowingly someone in his household had Covid. Now tested positive too and keeps going in. Claiming it on fears to lose his job right away if he calls in sick. I am disgusted. He was very cautious the entire pandemic, so I am really surprised too. Are there really companies which fire people for this? No wonder it’s spreading like wildfire then.

Do I have to return back to Seattle or I can continue to work from Texas? Know there is 90 miles rule in place but not sure how stringent it is. Please can you let me know. THANKS!!

I am on my first business trip since 2020! My team has been working in average 60 hours a week. This week some of us left the office at around 6:30pm to go have dinner and then watch a play here in Chicago. This morning the partner sends out an email saying that we are all on a business trip and not on vacation. We should focus in getting work done and not go to entertainment venues. What the hell? Should I send out a reply with my resignation?
