My SO and I regretted getting a dog from the 2nd week we had him. Fast track 6 years, we care about him, but we’ve never been able to shake of this regret (we actually joke around about this till this very day). My biggest gripe is less the cost and the daily care than it is our dog dictating where we can rent. The regret isn’t a daily background feeling, but it comes up strong when apartment hunting.
