As someone who dumped a car at carmax, it was within 2-3% of what I would expect to make if I sold it privately. Just the level of ease, it made sense

That’s true. No clue what they paid but this spec M3 is destined for a BaT flip - alpine white over red interior, with the manual and competition pack.

Or it was purchased at auction. Only a portion of CarMax frontline cars are acquired through their purchasing program.

Hey y’all - I have a large amount (think $20K +) of credit card debt. I recently finished grad school and have enough to pay it all off, but a lot of my money is in stocks, mutual funds, etfs, etc.

Should I just liquidate and pay down the CC debt ASAP? Should I consolidate the CC debt into another loan? Curious how folks have thought about the right balance of debt vs investment.

Is it irresponsible to spend $17k on a car when making $71k?
Current expenses are around $2500 per month including $900 towards retirement savings, so I’m left with around $1500 for going out to bars, eating out, and all stuff. New car would be ~$300 car payment and $150-200 in insurance monthly. Love cars and want something fun to drive around in so seems worth it to me, but don’t want to put myself in a bad place financially. Thank you all in advance, can supply more info if needed

I ordered a Tesla model 3 SR in April and I am able to take delivery this weekend, however I’m now unsure of whether it’s the right move financially. I have a lease on a 2020 BMW X3 that will end next month and was wondering if I should just buy that out and drive it for a few years. If it makes a difference I’m in SoCal so gas is $$$, but no EV charging in my apartment.

Tesla: $830/month + charging and insurance
BMW: $600/m + $150 gas + maint/insurance

Any thoughts? Is the Tesla worth it?
