Looked them up, seems like a cool concept but I probably don't have the pedigree coming from a lowly firm like PwC
They are very annoying and keep spamming with roles that are in no way related to my experience. So I am with you on the "who the hell would use them" point
OP - my way of dealing with annoying recruiters is to never take the call until they share the details about the role and company. Be prepared with your terms and don't let them control the call (just like a client meeting). Otherwise it's just a waste of time.
I really appreciate that they email me at my work address and forget to update their template with my name. It’s the little things... you know?

I made the mistake of talking to one of their practice leaders - rude as hell
At 1 - it was a 5 min call - they were so rude it was not worth continuing.
I had a headhunter—not from this company—talk my ear off for a full hour and ten minutes about a position he hadn’t even really ascertained I would be a good fit for/be interested in. Complete waste of both of our times.
