If you are fired for being benched too long, does ACN offer you severance?

I’ve been offered a job that would be a big career step for me at almost 50% more salary. I just want to say yes, but have received advice from a couple of people that I should negotiate. That it’s expected at this senior level and if I don’t, it may be detrimental to how I’m perceived. I would really appreciate some additional input on how to approach this.

Hi 🐠, I am thinking about starting to get a tax accountant. My taxes were pretty easy and as a CPA (business not tax) I could get away with doing my own taxes through TurboTax. My income is starting to diversify with several side hustles growing. Typically would be 0 income because I could find ways to expense it to 0, but with the pandemic our spending has severely decreased.
