Hey Mamas. I’m in the final interview stages for a new higher level job that would demand many more hours of my time including some nights and weekends. Right now I have a stable “9-5” job that allows me to be home in the evenings and on weekends spending time with my littles. They’re 3 and 1.

My concern is giving up time with them at such a young age for a great career opportunity. Would I regret missing the very young ages and should I wait to make career moves or should I go for it now?

What could I do with this?

18 months too quick to change jobs? I have just over 2 years of experience. I worked for one company as an analyst for 10 months—took the job in the heat of Covid so the pay was not great and i hated it, but I needed work post-graduation. I moved to my current company with a significant bump in pay and it’s been good. Recruiters reached out recently and in interviews openly said their base salary (20-30k higher) with a bump to senior analyst. My PT MBA starts in the fall, and it’ll be 100k:/

The firm I'm at has really poor training to interns and kind of just expect you to learn as you go.
