You're a high performing professional. Only low performers get sick. 😂

"It's important to show clients that we're still open for business and can be relied on to help them face challenges such as this." (Kid you not, from an internal call earlier today).

What is your company policy?

Mine has restricted travel to the point special approval is required. Which I’m not complaining about.

The company policy as of this after noon is “we encourage you to work from home if you are conferenced”
But, when the PM says keep travelling I’m not sure if I am going to be persecuted if I say I don’t feel comfortable travelling 😕

I’d like to have a better idea of how much time should be estimated on top of design tasks.

I’m looking at our historical data to create baselines for how resources are budgeted and spent on projects.

What percent of a design project should be spent on management and operational tasks?

I have this broken down into, client communication, internal communication, and project setup / maintenance. What else should I track?

Many are wondering what’s wrong with ClearView. The problem is straightforward, if the way ClearView is organizing a project such that when one analyst or senior analyst (22 to 24 year old) fails at something, stakes are high enough that an project’s fate depends on it, then ClearView is putting way too much responsibility on its Junior staff, not promoting and severely underpaying them. Maybe it’s time ClearView brought in a consulting firm to ease its org problems

Any interview tips for Project Manager roles in software development? I was moved to this role about 2 years ago and soon looking to jump to another company, but unsure of what to focus on talking about. I’ve tested the waters and the feedback from one interviewer who was generous enough to provide it was that I made myself sound like a technologist rather than a PM because I was too focused on the product and it’s details instead of the project management details.
