Hi everyone! I am about 8 months into my job as a BDR. my first job! It pays well and i love my coworkers. Its also fully remote which is nice bc i love flexibility. The problem i’m having is i dont really enjoy the job. I hate objection handling, and I get so stressed that i wont hit my goals. I also dont really like my AM i work with. I want to do a career path switch and I dont want to be an AM/SE. What are roles I could easily switch to?I thought about recruiting too but eh. please help!

I just want to vent. I finished viewing the farewell video that my principal put together for our students to view. I was omitted from the video. All the other teachers are there. My husband thinks I’m being too sensitive but this isn’t the first time the principal has “forgotten” about me. Last week she forgot to include me in the staff end of year meeting invite and I had to find out from someone else. The only time anyone knows I exist is when they want translating done 🤬

I have a student who loses it whenever asked to do anything. He will kick and hit walls. He will shout and cuss at adults. He will lunge at me and others. He is allowed to do this by his SPED teacher. It is getting scary for me because he is so unpredictable. I ask for help but the department doesn’t want to do anything different. What can I do? I’m a teacher transplant moving from MN to TX What do I need to know?

As a mandated reporter, how do you decide what you should and should not report? Its so tough because kids really do say crazy things sometimes or tell wild stories, but I also don't want to be the person that doesn't say something when I should have. I often find myself thinking about things kids have told me and whether or not I should have spoken up. Any thoughts?

It's almost every year that students find out my phone number without me giving it to them. Last year my cellphone number was given out to parents on a welcome letter from my grade level team. I was not happy about that.
