Forcing me to use my standing desk

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

I interviewed with Firm A months ago and accepted a position to start this upcoming fall. Group leader called me to offer the position back in November 2020. Besides interviewing with partners at the firms, and diligent follow ups notifying them of my interest to get started, no communication has transpired since. It turns out that I accepted a better offer w/ Firm B for personal reasons and won’t be going to Firm A. What is the best way to notify Firm A? Call/email group leader? Call/email HR?

Standing desk is standard issue where I am.
I had assumed all firms moved to standing desks. Even in our old office we had standing desk converters.

We can get an add-on to our desks if we specifically request them, but they aren’t given to us without asking. I’m not a standing desk kind of person

No standing desks at my firm. AmLaw 50
I mean, I have one, but it doesn’t work and it’s so full of files I wouldn’t stand it up even if I wanted to.

My old firm wouldn’t pay for it without medical need! Lolol it was an AmLaw 25 and my prior firm, a top 50 had fully loaded standing desks for everyone

Never trust the standers.
