Also looking for good WLB - 40-45 hours a week

What is your job function?

What is the point of a scrum master ? Or am I think I got if an agile person that does daily stand ups where we look at a jira board. Seems like such a resident position

So what kind of role are you now leaning towards? And do you want to stay in federal contracting or it doesn’t matter?

I work for a federal consulting company that’s hiring and it’s for product owner roles. Let me know if you are interested

I am not sure what to do. My company just had another round of massive layoffs. So far my job was spared. I do got a job offer from a different company but the salary is way lower than what I have now (20,000$ less). Should I choose for financially stability but with a lower salary, or take the risk, keep the higher salary, but have a high chance to loose it as the company isn’t doing great.

Interviewing for a deals analytics role at EY- the interview day will include time with a partner, a senior manager, two managers and a 3 hour case study. What should I expect?

Mid-level here. Has anyone gotten their firm to approve their doing work at a deep discount and, if so, what strategies did you use? A potential client approached me directly about a small matter (~20 to 30 hr amicus brief). The potential client (gov’t) pays a standard rate ~40% lower than mine, but I want to take on the project because it would be a good professional opportunity (e.g., high profile case & client) and of course the lower rate won’t affect my comp directly. 🤷‍♀️ All advice welcome!

When your firm requires billable hours, how are they calculated? Actual vs realized (I.e. what you put on your billing sheet vs what is billed to the client). Does your firm differentiate? Which number do they go by? My mind is somehow not comprehending how some big law hours are under my small firm requirement?
