McKinsey & Company fish - is the interview process for an EM different from the typical MBA recruiting path? The info I received made it seem like case questions would focus more so on running a program / leadership type questions rather than the traditional cases. This doesn’t seem right?

I finished my Amazon loop interview and received a good feedback from the recruiter. A few days later, she called asking about a possible start date and location, and requested me to send a copy of my ID. She told me the result will come out in two days and exactly two days later, she told me the result is delayed and to wait a few more days. I can't help but feel like I didn't get the job. Anybody got a same experience?

I have done with all the rounds for SRE position with Oracle. I have uploaded all the documents for the bgv in the first advantage url. It's been 15 days. Since then I didn't receive any communication. The director told initially when he started the offer roll out process that there is a freeze going on and needs to get the approvals to get this done. How many days will it take to roll out the offer basically with Oracle India. Can some one please help me with info.

I have cleared my first round interview in HCL and after that I got call from HR for salary Negotiation but it was not completed. It's been 10 days and I didn't got the call and that HR person is not lifting my call as well. I have submitted the BGV details as well. Can I still expect the call from HR?

Any advice for lateraling as first-year business lit associate? I’m not getting any work at my current firm due to partner hoarding and overstaffing. Can I lateral this early or should I wait until I’m inevitably fired for low hours? If I should lateral now, what reasons for leaving should I give interviewers? Has anyone asked for a pay raise for the increased amount of responsibilities that was not originally asked or discussed in job description. It's been over 1yr and I have few certs. I made impact on my team. They value what I bring to them, but workloads increased more than my main role. I think it's fair to ask for a better pay raise. What do you think? So yesterday I woke up with an awful migraine; probably one of the worst I’ve ever had. It just so happened that my wife and I had things planned with the kids, but I literally couldn’t get out of bed. Long story short, my wife is still pissed that I spent most of the day in bed because of how I was feeling, and in her words, I should have just “sucked it up and dealt with it for us.” This pisses me off to no end. And she’s still being in a bitchy mood today on top of it!

I'm 32 with less than 60k in retirement savings. Don't plan on retiring for another 18-20 years at least. My justification for nixing VXUS is because VTI already has 40% exposure to international sales. I want to focus on growth and I believe that I can accept risk with a 20-year runway. Added VB because VTI and VUG cover large and mid-cap. Thoughts?

I cannot decide between two offers at good firms. One offer is financially much better but is “lower” on the ranking list (to the extent that even matters). The other firm came up but still not mathematically the same. The work is the same except they are on opposite sides for the most part. What to do?

I feel like I made the worst mistake of my life joining consulting out of school a year ago. I was so excited for it initially. Now all of the benefits like travel, career progression, compensation growth, networking, on-site training and development, and more are gone or severely reduced. Is there any way to get out without completely restarting? I’m thinking about going to industry but I’ve realized that no desirable jobs want a consultant with 1 YOE so it really feels like there is no escape.

On a scale from 1-10 (1=terrible, 10=great), how do we think the job market is looking in the NY area?

Got an offer at Bulge Bracket investment bank for $150k base and 15k sign on. Guess is TC will be $180k total. Currently at Accenture at $125k base with a TC of probably close to $130k. I’m up for manager this year so my pay will definitely go up. Is it worth the switch? The bump is notable but not insane.
