Traveled for the first time this week since COVID and got the dreaded “do you have kids?” question at team dinner. Him-“do you have kids?” Me- “No, I don’t.” Him-“Oh good! That’s the right choice!!” Me (awkwardly)- “I still have time… I’m not even 30 yet!” (Team member who knows about our 3 month and 6 month miscarriages looking on with THE saddest face) Ughhhh. He had absolutely no idea and meant well since everyone was talking about their kids but gosh…I wish this didn’t have to be a thing😩

Help me out, everyone seems to be having much milder symptoms with Omicron. Is the hospital capacity issue due to people panicking and going to the hospital despite having mild symptoms or because staff are out with illness? I don’t understand how the medical system is on the brink of collapse right now. Maybe I have a skewed view of Omicron based on anecdotal experience?
