Being interviewed for an SBA at Kearney but I strongly believe (along with many current and ex-Kearney folx in my network) that I should be interviewed for an associate role.
Upon receiving an offer, is it possible to negotiate an expedited promotion cycle/review as part of my contract? And by how much? Is 3-6 months something I can do?
HR is ignoring my emails/ghosting me, as usual.

If money is what "keeps you quiet" in the intell space, that's not exactly great, because our adversaries would absolutely pay more money for the information. Intell and security recruit mission driven individuals
Paying a living wage isn't the same as federal service rates being competitive with industry. From experience, I can say I don't think they have trouble supporting a family. Also, Federal service has cost of living adjustments.
They don’t need to pay more because they get great applicants who are motivated by the mission and perhaps the cool factor / prestige of the work.
They’re also required to operate within the same pay structure as the rest of the fed government which means $ tops out pretty low relative to the private sector.
Also if you’re running an intel agency you probably don’t want to hire people who are strongly motivated by $...
People don't do it for the money. There's enough demand where it justifies it. I'm sure if the demand wasn't there they would raise the salaries. Most hover around GS 14 which is pretty close to hitting executive level afterwards. Most of those who I worked with really enjoy the job security and the mission
I'd take the pay cut to be a GS in Intel. Miss the mission for sure.
