I worked in that industry and all I can say is, truth!
Because fashion is its own industry and it plays by different, LSD-fueled rules.
I’ve always wondered what the creative process is like for perfume/fashion advertising. It just seems like such a different product from the conceptual stuff most agencies do.
I’d love to do more of that kind of work but have absolutely no clue what kind of strategy/creative ideation goes into it.
Not much especially if it has a celebrity attached to it. Then it becomes about what they want to do and post-rationalizing.
