Why are LA home prices way higher than DC but LA rental prices way lower?

Hi friends - need a suggestion. My mother got critically ill due to Covid and has been in the hospital in India for over a month with added complications. Hospital charges are through the roof and it is a long road ahead of us. Are there financial aids, options available to explore to meet the expenses? We are salaried people and parents are retired. We are exploring loan options and wanted to check with this group for other creative ways to manage. Thanks a lot for the help!

How did you get buyers to look realistically? For example, if they have a low budget, but a lengthy checklist where they might not get everything for their price range.

Hi 🐠, I am 25 with ~100K salary and currently contribute to a 401K, ROTH IRA, brokerage account, crypto, savings account, and an “I bond.” Anything else I can utilize to put money to work?

Have money invested in S&P 500, and now starting to regret not having diversified to international stocks as well. Would want to diversify now to buy a total stock market index, however since S&P 500 dropped more than that index, not sure it’s worth to crystallize losses to do that. The alternative is to stop buying S&P 500 and start buying other markets as separate ETFs, to eventually bring in line approx. with total stock market index. Any advice on the best course of action?

I am working for a company that is out of my residential state (A) and my company is withholding taxes based on tht state (B) where my company is. I was checking with my tax consultant and he thought I would have to pay taxes based on my residential state (A) next year (which btw is a massive sum). Any1 else have the same issue or knows anything about this. I imagine with wfh today this maybe a common issue.

Is there an easy/efficient way to figure out how much you've contributed to vs earned in your Roth accounts? I started contributing >20 years ago to my employer's Roth 401k and have rolled it over to a Roth IRA and moved it between multiple custodians, e.g. Fidelity, Vanguard, UBS, Personal Capital, etc. It is unclear to me how much I contributed vs how much I earned by investing it.
