Best hotel in DC?
Junior copywriter in nyc making 58.5k. In one year, I’ve had four projects produced incl two tv campaigns. I’ve also been in two pitches. With this info, what would be a fair salary to negotiate?
I’ve found there’s nothing better than some good music to improve my mood. I’m sure we have some audio diversity here: What’s your current favorites? 🎧 🎵
Ok folks, who wants to cry with me? I think we should have cry only zoom call where we cry our effing heart out. Feel me?
Can anyone suggest good daycare facilities/nannies around midtown west? I have a 1 year old baby and we are planning to move to the city next May.
Is it too late for me to get an MBA? 6 YOE, $200K comp. Hate consulting and want out but it’s tough to find an exit because I’ve been a generalist basically my whole career. MBA would be to reset.
Anyone else following Crash Lading on You (a little late to the game) and thinks Hyun Bin is absolute perfection?!?
Covid sucked but I didn’t let it stop me from living. Met the love of my life and now getting married. Started two bad ass side hustles, got more fit and discovered peace thru Yoga/meditation. Also, quit drinking, two months now. Moral of the story, nothing changes if nothing changes.
So there I am, reading an NYMag piece on food advertising when I decide to click on one of the sourced hyperlinks talking about gatorade starting the dumb "work for it" vending machine ad trend.
I thought it was an abjectly stupid ad, and it felt a little weird but not outrageous. Then the last few seconds played.

I have a summer offer from a large financial institution to own an internal strategy/BD project and present recommendations to the global management team. Am also in the interview process with a boutique consulting firm (Mars and Co) but will not be able to get a decision before the deadline of my other offer. Thoughts on what to do if the goal is to end up consulting at MBB after graduating? (MBA candidate). Tried posting this in the consulting bowl as well but couldn’t.
I’m anxious because I’m not getting work done but I can’t work because my anxiety is keeping me from focusing
I’m interviewing for a position with EY FAAS in NYC. Can anyone speak to what the environment and people are like?
Oh my god. I took some time off hoping it would recharge me.
I’m already feeling unmotivated and drained. I hate the BS that I’ve had to go through. I honestly do not get it when people say they join ZS “for the people”, or for “easier hours”.
Then when I bring up my experiences on FB I get absolutely gaslit “the hours aren’t as bad as other firms”...”The people are great”.
Logging off after 10 PM: what a great way to get back to work.
Lost my out of state drivers license & the NYS DMV’s website says the next available appointment is in June. Anyone have tips to get in quicker?
Anyone have early experience in both consulting and PM and willing to chat? I’ve been in consulting <1 year and tbh the work itself is pretty BS, basically just professionalized a lot of what I learned on my own in college and getting faster at ppt/excel.
I have some prior PM experience and am considering just jumping from consulting into PM at the entry level, but I'm wording if the work itself is that much more interesting. Have heard early PMs do pretty small/random things for a while...
