No you’re not missing anything. I’m not too sure what’s with that, but I guess a lot of recruiters have pretty aggressive KPIs so they contact a lot of people without spending time on reviewing the CVs, inmail messages I think are sent automatically to people who fit certain criteria, also many might not be educated in the sector they’re hiring for. I get messages that are completely unaligned with my experience all the time. I would say just ignore these messages or if the company/role sounds interesting and recruiter is from a credible agency you can always respond but be instantly upfront about your experience.
Maybe it’s a sign you’re ready for a senior role! 😁
LMAO, I don't think I am. Definitely need more experience. But I do have a history of undervalueing myself
I’m director level and they message me about senior designer roles too. They don’t look, they don’t read. They would however sell their grandmother to get a placement.

Added years of experience can sometimes be thrown in with internships or any previous roles at times. More junior recruiters that rely on filters can accidentally reach out to those a bit more junior than intended. If using a separate tool things can be confusing with cross platform filters.
