I mean bc both firms aren’t great. Better question - why are you posting about this on sat night?
Lol because I met an ex colleague from Deloitte who wanted me to look out for him.
I've observed that PwC doesn't really value the PM role. It's seen as administrative so no one wants to do it, or make their precious rising stars do it. But then we end up with managers and directors that can't actually run a project.
I agree. I have been in those roles and while the team is glad to not have fires to put out from missed steps or communications, it was not viewed as impactful overall.
I have to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge to avoid getting put on PMO jobs every time on the bench.
Fairly certain the common perception is the opposite - Deloitte has less PMO roles than PWC (or the rest of the Big 4) since Deloitte is significantly more established in consulting compared to the other three.
Open to being proven wrong tho OP if you have anything more than just anecdotal evidence
I was in Deloitte and would find a lot of PMO positions when my friends wanted me to recommend. PwC workday has little to no roles.
