Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

Because they don’t offer progression. You exit when you want to level off and settle for what you have. You might make similar with fewer hours. But you don’t do this gig for the “today”, you do it for the trajectory. Which “industry” for sure does not have. You make partner here in 7 years. I will double comp every 3 years. I like the variety and travel, but yeah if I’m unable to achieve the WLB I want in consulting I may end up switching, having more time for hobbies, and just paying for my own travel OOP.
Not sure about industry, but tech jobs have the same schedule - been there done that
I like the travel, don't mind the hours, and the change in pace/content/environment keeps me interested from project to project. I'm sure I'll eventually want to go to industry, but I'm not ready for a 9-5 yet.
Because no tech companies will let me work remote like these firms will?
Even w higher pay, I couldn’t afford to live in the tech hubs
