I’ve spent the past 4 years in Big 4, I really value my time in Big 4 and credit my firm for where I am right now interviewing with you. It’s been really cool learning how all of my clients operate from both and internal and external perspective. But looking forward into the future, I know I do not want to be in audit. I can tell you with certainty that I was not born to be an auditor forever and audit is not where I see my long term career going. To me, audit is very monotonous and repetitive. My clients differ in industry but generally the procedures and memos are the same and I find myself carrying test works and memos from one client to the next. to be honest I’ve always viewed audit as a tick-box exercise in order to meet regulatory standards. but this opportunity at [company] really stood out to me because [reasons 1, 2, and 3].
