I was contacted out of the blue by a headhunter last week promising to do their best to place me in an AMLAW200 firm as a lateral. (4 years practicing, all litigation; looking to move to transactional).
I’ve never dealt with a headhunter before, and I’m taking everything they say with a grain of salt, so insight as to their effectiveness, reliability, and overall successful placements in or equivalent to the type of firms they have connections with is greatly appreciated.

Did anyone in Deloitte advisory receive a RFE for specialty occupation? I submitted the % job details as requested by the law firm. Anyone know the odds of getting approved?

I need help. I’m at a job right now with a company I love and a decent salary probably getting a promotion in a few months. I just got an offer from another company with a 50% increase in base, bonus structure, and other compensation benefits in the same role I’m in now. I went back to my current company and they gave me a slight bump in base salary but nothing close to what I’ll get with the new one. What would you guys do? Stay or jump ship?

I am an associate broker working in wholesale (NYC) I have about 5 YOE and make about $75K + bonus. I work for a large team and end up having to help with everything all the time, from servicing accounts to marketing them. I work close to 50 hours every week in attempt to finish all tasks but it just keeps piling up. I recently found out that another person within the team (same title, who is doing way less than I am) is making almost $90K. This is making me resentful… not sure what to do.

I have a friend who’s turning into a Karen. She filed noise complaints w the city on a neighbor. And then the city left her a notice about the investigation and the neighbor wants to talk to her. She’s now mad she has to deal with it and is wondering what the neighbor wants from her and what her end game is. I’m trying to be supportive but also don’t understand how she’s not owning her own complaint. It’s her problem she’s having trouble with neighbor noise in a city, not everyone else’s.
