Why can’t we pause screen share on Teams?! Seems like a very basic functionally that even WEBEX has 😡

Just me here hoping that slack never adds the “read” notification on messages.

Why doesn’t Visa use collaborative tools like Slack and Google Workspace? I’m guessing it’s not a budget issue.

Business Analyst (Internal Hire) working in freight technology knowing I am incredibly underpaid.

I’m in my 2nd month as an internal hire (formerly a Pricing Analyst). I did negotiate for a higher salary when I made the transition receiving nothing but the promise of a conversation to reevaluate in three months.

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something. Also, do interviewers still appreciate a hand written thank you for the interview?

Have NYC-based employers with hybrid schedule been lenient for office workers? In light of crime trends, pandemic, work-life priorities, I'm trying to assess if taking a hybrid NYC job (as someone working remotely from NJ now) is worth the headache. Potential new employer says 3 days in a week, but during my interview process, I only met with one person who was in the office during my Zoom interview.

Hi! Can someone recommend a source for learning how do simple, fun music lessons on Zoom? I teach first grade and use music for my transitions. I would also like to play songs for them with my guitar, but am concerned it won’t sound good on zoom (the guitar, not my voice, which is bad, we established that long ago)

IEP, 504, and those without internet will return in-person next week while rest of students remain remote. Regular Ed teachers may have students (mild Learning Disabled kiddos) in their room while teaching. They are saying it’s a liability issue if they have one student in the room with them, even though teaching other via Zoom. Thoughts? Anyone else experiencing this?

FDD 🐠 I will be promoted to audit SM in October, however looking to transfer to the FDD practice. Based on discussions with partners in the practice, I would be brought in as an experienced manager with opportunity to promote to senior manager in FDD next year. I currently work as an APM at a FAANG company but recently received an offer to join an MBB. I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB. I’m very interested in the opportunity but also don’t want to make a poor financial decision early in my career. Thank you for your time!
